Playwriting

In the Autumn of 2021, I was honoured to participate in the Indigenous Playwrights Nest at Banff Centre for Arts & Creativity in the Leighton Studios on campus. With my trusty Smith Corona setup in the window of a cabin in the woods designed by Ian Davidson, I began work on a new draft of a one-act play called, When It Rains.

The following winter, I workshopped the play with the Chromatic Theatre Playwrights Unit, and in the Spring, we shared public readings of our plays-in-progress at the Grande Theatre Studio with professional performers for a live audience.
